A Collegiate & Industry Performance Experience

July 11, 2026 — For Dancers. Parents. Coaches. Teams.

D1VISION DANCE ACADEMY

Purposeful training. Structured development. Clear direction.

  • D1Vision is a dance studio and training environment focused on helping dancers grow at every stage of development — from recreational beginners to elite competitive and collegiate-bound performers.

Our approach combines technical training, performance development, leadership growth, and structured progression designed to help dancers build confidence and consistency over time.

  • D1Vision is built on a clear progression system known as The D1Vision Standard — a set of expectations that guide how dancers train, perform, and develop at every level.

Unlike programs that focus primarily on choreography or short-term results, we focus on structured, long-term development built around real performance expectations.

    The D1Vision Standard emphasizes:

    • structured, intentional growth over time

    • performance under pressure, not just classroom execution

    • coachability and response to feedback

    • accountability and personal discipline

    • confidence built through real skill development

    • long-term preparation for collegiate, professional, and industry pathways

We believe dancers progress best when expectations are clear, feedback is direct, and development is consistent.

  • Integrity, creativity, and empathy shape the way we work. And, The D1Vision Standard is the framework that guides how we train, coach, and develop dancers at every level.

It defines clear expectations for growth, performance, and development across all programs.

A Letter from our Founder

D1Vision was created from a simple belief: dancers deserve clarity, structure, and direction in their development.

After years as a D1 university coach and dance educator, I was running into the same pattern again and again. Talent and effort without a clear understanding of what development truly requires and a clear pathway for growth. I created D1Vision to change that. A space where dance training is intentional. Where feedback is honest. Where progress is measurable and meaningful over time.

That vision became even more personal through my experience as a parent, especially this past year. Throughout this website, you’ll see moments from my daughter Sutton’s dance journey and how that has helped shape D1Vision. Her love for dance and her eagerness to learn and grow have helped me gain clarity on this vision.

And, you’ll see that same passion reflected in everything we build — from MAKE THE CUT to the classes, training, and experiences we offer every day.

I’m grateful for every dancer, family, coach, and experience that helped shape this vision and pushed me to bring it to life.

At its core, D1Vision exists to help dancers grow with purpose, confidence, and direction.

Thank you for checking us out. We’re excited to share what we’ve been building!

What is Make The Cut?

Most dancers train to learn choreography. Few are trained to perform under pressure, be evaluated in real time, and understand collegiate and industry expectations.

D1VISION DANCE ACADEMY & Make the cut WERE created to close that gap.

Join D1Vision, coaches and dancers from The Ohio State University, University of Minnesota, Florida State University and University of Kansas for an immersive experience designed to challenge how dancers think, train, perform, and prepare.

Train. Perform. Receive feedback. GROW.

MAKE THE CUT

Make The Cut brings clarity & direction to performance, evaluation, and development.

Find out where you stand. Know your next step.

Dancers will be coached, challenged, and observed in real time through a structured performance environment led by experienced collegiate coaches and industry professionals. Participants will train, perform under pressure, and receive direct feedback focused on readiness, performance quality, and next-step development aligned with their goals.
