Rather than a traditional audition or enrollment appointment, every new dancer starts with Placement Day. This personalized experience allows our coaching staff to get to know your dancer, evaluate their technical foundation, and recommend the program, training level, and opportunities that best support their goals.
Your $149 Placement Day Registration serves as your enrollment into D1Vision. There are no additional enrollment or registration fees for our Competition Team, Elite Pom Team or Technique Academy.
(Enrichment Academy does not go through Placement Day and can enroll directly in the Enrichment Academy classes. )

Technique Academy
Enrollment in Technique Academy is based on placement to allow recommended technique levels and training plan that will best support continued growth.
Technique Academy is designed for dancers who want to improve their skills, strengthen their technical foundation, and continue growing in a focused, encouraging environment—without the commitment of competition.

Competition Team
Enrollment in the Competition Team is based on placement rather than a traditional audition.
Designed for dancers who are ready to challenge themselves through exceptional technical training, meaningful performance opportunities, and a supportive team environment. Placement Day helps us recommend the training level and performance opportunities that best fit each dancer.

Elite Pom Team
Elite Pom is Audition or Invitation Only.
Our advanced pom program prepares dancers for high school, collegiate, and professional dance team opportunities through specialized technique, precision training, conditioning, and audition preparation.
Best for:
High school dance team dancers
Collegiate dance team hopefuls
Advanced pom athletes
Younger dancers interested in growing pom technique
Elite Pom is our premier training program for dancers pursuing high school, collegiate, and professional pom opportunities.
Admission is based on technical readiness and program fit.
Dancers who are not selected will receive personalized recommendations for continued development through our Competition Team or Technique Academy.

what to expect with placement day

Your dancer will participate in a guided evaluation that includes ballet, jazz technique, and tap. Our coaches will observe technical fundamentals, movement quality, musicality, and overall readiness to recommend the most appropriate training level.

Parents will have the opportunity to meet our coaching staff, ask questions, and learn more about our programs, memberships, and what makes D1Vision different.

Following the evaluation and once enrolled with D1Vision, our coaching staff will recommend the training pathway that's the best fit for your dancer.
For Competition Team dancers, recommendations may include:
Technique level
Group routine placements
Additional performance opportunities (if interested)
Unlimited technique recommendations
Private lesson recommendations (if beneficial)
